20世纪90年代以来,北京市的城市化过程明显加速。在城市化过程中,当城乡结合部的土地被征用以 后,大批的农民转为城市居民(简称“农转居”)。这些失去土地的农转居人员今后的社会保障问题将如何解决,是值 得政府关注的重大事情。

Since 1990's, Beijing has obviously accelerated its urbanization. In the process of urbanization,large numbers of peasants became urban residents as the rural lands in the suburbs were taken over for use.The great issue for the government to pay a good deal of attention is how to provide social security for these residents in the future.
