摘要
林风眠是中国现代美术教育的奠基者之一,他的绘画创作完成了一种将西方现代美术观念与中国传统美学相结合的典范。长期以来,他的作品并未引起应有的重视,只是最近十年,检讨中国新兴美术的发展,他的先驱作用及作品价值才得到极大的提升,被誉为中国现代绘画的一代宗师。与中国比邻的日本,亦有一位“民族英雄”,他就是著名的美术家栋方志功,它的作品既保留了日本民族的神韵,又吸纳了西方现代派的表现手法,风格特立。将这两位东方最具特色的艺术大师进行比较分析,寻找他们的异同,对我们当今的美术创作正途定会有借鉴的意义。
Lin Fengmian (1900-1991) is one of the founders of Chinese modern education in art. His artistic creation is a perfect combination of the Western modes of thoughts about art and the Chinese traditional aesthetic values. For quite a long time, however, no proper attention has been paid to his works. Fortunately, after a long period of introspection about the rising and development of new art in China, his pioneer role and the true value of his works have been widely discovered in the past decade. He himself has been regarded as one of the masters of great learning and integrity in modern Chinese art history, and his works as China s great artistic heritage and of great scholarship. In Japan, one of our neighboring countries, there is also a famous artist named Shiko Munakata (1903-1975) who is very well respected as a national hero of Japan. His artistic style is peculiar and his creation has reflected both the traditional Japanese romantic charm and the Western modern means of artistic expression. This article has made a detailed comparison between these two great artists in the Orient, aiming at seeking the similarities and differences in their ideas governing artistic creation and in their styles as well. The author believes that there is much that we can make use of in steering the course of today' s artistic creation.
