Measures for Dealing with Problems Arising from the Extending of the Number of Students Enrolled to Colleges

1999年高校扩招政策的出台启动了我国高等教育大众化发展的进程 ,这是政府顺应历史潮流 ,适应社会经济发展、满足人民群众教育需求所做出的重大举措。在高校扩招的进程中 ,教育质量下滑和毕业生就业难是教育界争论得最多的两大问题 ,在分析现状的基础上 ,找出问题产生的根源 。

The policy made public in 1999 of extending the number of students enrolled to institutions of higher learning started the development of popularized higher education in our country. This policy is an important measure taken by the government to adapt education to the development of economy and to meet the needs of the masses for education in new historical period. In carrying out such a policy, analysis should be made on the problems of the decline of the quality of education and the difficulty that graduates meet with in employment so as to see the root of the problems and to find out effective solutions to such problems.
