This paper describes HSDPA, the new technology of the roadmap of mobile communication system, which based on the 3rd generation mobile communication standard WCDMA. With this technology, the peak data rate of up to 10.8 Mbps can be achieved. Firstly, HS-DSCH is described in detail. And then the key technologies of HSDPA and their study status are introduced.
