PCI bus is a type of standard computer bus with characteristics of the plug and play (PnP), low power and high data - transmitting rate. PCI bus is taking the place of ISA and EISA buses gradually. Many specifications are involved with PCI bus and interface explanation is complicated, so it' s difficult to develop the stable PCI bus equipment of high performance. This article summarizes the development course of PCI bus based on the practice and gives an application example based on 9054 interface chip of PLX Corporation.
