摘要 光纤技术的出现丰富了现代通讯技术 ,弥补了电信号作载体时通信通道拥挤的不足。在某些场合下如雷达天线、战车的旋转塔台、水下机器人的控制船等 ,需要光信号不断从一个转动平台向另一个静止平台传输。这种情况下 ,就需要光纤旋转连接器实现两部分光信号的连续传输。 With the advent of optical fiber technology, modern telecommunication technologies are greatly advanced. The optical telecommunication made up for the deficiency of electrical communication transmission bandwidth. In some occasion such as antennas of the radar, the rotating turrets of tank, the control vessel of underwater robots and so on, optical signals are continuously required to transmit form rotating platforms to fixed platforms. At the moment, the optical signal transmission of two parts are performed by fiber optic rotary joint (FORJ). In this paper, the origin of passive fiber optic rotary joint and its recent advances were introduced.
