Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is a new tomography imaging technique for various medical applications. It reveals great application value in clinical diagnosis. In order to make OCT system as a practicable instrument, many problems should be resolved, such as achieving high intensity, broadband source and designing high speed, precision scan control. In this article, we primarily review the development of two important units in OCT:source and scan control.
