基于图像块之间信息冗余的数字图像压缩新技术

摘要 针对存储空间严格受限条件下的图像存储,提出了基于图像块之间信息冗余的数字图像压缩新方法。在图像块分类划分之后直接丢弃信息冗余块,然后对剩余块进行压缩存储。解压缩时利用边界信号对被丢弃的图像信息进行重建,从而完整地再现原图像。大量的实验证明在高倍数压缩条件下该技术能确保压缩后的图像具有更高的主观和客观质量。 The new technique for the digital image compression based on the information redundancy among im- age blocks is put forward under condition of the strictly limited storage space. After the image blocks are classi- fied t the blocks with information redundancy are discarded and the remaining blocks are compressed and coded. When the image is decompressed, the lost image information of redundancy blocks can be reconstructed by their boundary signals so as to reproduce the whole image perfectly. Many experiments have demonstrated that this method is obviously better than the common compression technique on condition of the high compression rate. It can make the subjective and objective qualities of the compressed image much higher.
