外语教学的目的,不仅要使学生掌握某种语言,而且还要使他们了解该种语言所依附的文化,使语言知识和文化知识同步发展。因此,对中国和英语国家文化进行对比分析,找出其相异之处及其对语言的影响,这对培养学生的交际能力,特别是跨文化的交际能力无疑是十分必要和有益的。本文从几个方面对此进行了分析。

The purpose of foreign language teaching is not only to make students master a language but also to know its culture. Culture should be learned along with language.
