欧阳修的词史地位是在其词传播接受的历史进程中逐步确立的。宋代以歌妓为中介的口头传播方式和以印刷品为传媒的书面传播方式共同促进了欧词的广泛流传,并且起了不同的传播效应。宋代诸多词人深受欧词启发和影响,各有所得,并将之传承发扬。欧公写作艳词,然宋人多为其辨诬。宋代词论家将欧词视为雅词代表,而欧词的"诗化"倾向也遭到了部分词论家的批评。

The historical position of OUYANG Xiu s Ci poems was gradually established in the historical course.Ou s Ci poems were widely publicized by means of Geisha and printed matter.Many poets in the Song Dynasty were deeply influenced by his poems,and inherited his tradition in attempt to carry it forward.Ou s Ci poems were regarded as elegant works by critics in the Song Dynasty,however,its tendency of poeticizing has encountered the criticism.
