Some Notes on Guzhu

孤竹的地理位置起初应在今河北省卢龙县一带,在商代晚期则将其领域扩大到大凌河流域;从民族属性来看,他是华夏族殷族的一支,其文化是殷文化的组成部分。自西周始,孤竹成为燕国的附庸,其后居民分别融入东胡及燕人中。在民族融合过程中,作为"殷遗"的孤竹,曾将殷人的文化因素注入东胡文化(夏家店上层文化)和燕文化之中,为彼时东胡与燕国的经济发展、社会进步做出过重要贡献。
