Constructing Terminology in Chinese Ethnic Theory

民族是客观存在的社会实体。有些观点把民族改称族群,在民族问题上非政治化,这显然是与党和国家的民族政策不相容的。中华民族在民族关系上形成了统一多民族国家和而不同的格局。有学者认为,中国历史上对民族关系实行"文化化",而新中国是照搬苏联模式将民族关系"政治化",这种说法值得商榷。我国民族差别和民族特点仍将长期存在,民族关系仍将长期为"和而不同"的关系。新中国区域自治的模式,为多民族国家既适当满足民族的政治权力要求,又能保持国家统一和民族友好相处指明了出路。而民族平等团结是我国民族关系的基本准则。要实现民族双重发展任务与各民族共同繁荣,必须用科学的发展观统领民族发展。
