郑诵先(1893-1876年),名世芬,号研斋,别号勉堪,四川省富顺县人。1911年入上海震旦学院文科,历任青岛市政府秘书,北平市政府秘书。1931年任北平市政府秘书长,1935年去职。平生精研文史,兼长诗文创作,书法功力深厚,大字小字,真草篆隶均有独到之处。真书方面早年学颜、柳。

The paper introduces a personal letter sent by Zheng Songxian to the author of this paper and a manuscript of explaining <Madonna Models>.Zheng Songxian(1893-1976)was a Northern representative calligraphist of running hand in the first half of the 20 th century.
