意笔人物写生最重要的一点就是要写实。要从整体出发 ,抓住对象的骨点要害 ,从而把握住对象的形。写生还要能体现对象的神态 ,因为传神才是写生最为重要的目的。要利用夸张、强化、取舍、概括等艺术手法进行人为的加工处理 ,使画面更加鲜明、突出、生动 。

The key point for expressive painting from figure is to paint realistically. We must get hold of the spirit as well as the appearance of an object as the former is the most important aim of our painting and the latter can be attained only by taking it as a whole and grasping its vital points. Artistic means, such as exaggeration, intensification, acceptance or rejection and summary should be made use of in order to make the painting more vivid, more remarkable, hence more fascinating.
