毛泽东从国际战略角度出发,强调发展我国的科学技术,要密切注视世界科技发展趋势,认真谋划我国的对策和部署;要增强落后就要挨打的强烈民族忧患意识,尽快改变我国经济和科技的落后状态;要打破常规,尽量采用先进技术,赶超世界先进水平。同时,从我国实际出发,提出了发展科学技术应采取的方针和政策。所有这些,对当前正在进行的改革开放和现代化建设,仍有重要启示作用。

The purpose of this article is to examine in detail Mao s thinking about developing China s science and technology from the view point of international strategy. First, it analyses Mao s general ideas of developing China s science and technology. Secondly, it examines in detail Mao s thinking on the general and specific policies to develop China s science and technology. Finally, it discusses Mao s legacy and summarizes the enlightments.
