长期以来 ,印度对金融及金融服务实行较为严格的管制 ,1991年大规模的经济改革以来 ,对金融服务实行了一些自由化的措施。印度成为WTO创始成员国后 ,对金融服务协议作出了谨慎的开放承诺。但是 ,印度很注意合理运用WTO的有关规则来维护自己的利益 ,开放承诺同银行、非银行金融机构、证券、保险业等的现状有很大的差距。
