Data mining in CIMS is a comprehensive product, which is based on the subjects of advanced manaufacture technology, computer network, artifical intellegence, etc. This paper propose that genetic algorithm which is based on the theory of evolution is a good solution to the data mining in CIMS. From the dialectical direction, we discuss the feasibility and superiority of genetic algorithm adopted by data mining in CIMS.
