In this paper, we introduce the concept of implication filters in implication lattices, and discuss their basic properties. Morover, we provide a method to establish a congruence relation and the corresponding quotient implication lattice by a given prime implication filter, so as to make the necessary preliminaryes to establish solid logic foundations for fuzzy reasoning.
