浅谈大学英语教学在素质教育中的作用

文章简要分析了大学英语教学与素质教育之间的关系 ,指出大学英语教学是实施素质教育的一个重要组成部分。大学英语教学必须立足于“以人为本” ,以培养人的素质为教育出发点。要从真正意义上改革大学英语教学 ,就必须将大学英语教学上升到大学英语教育的高度。大学英语教学和素质教育之间的这种关系是由其在素质教育中所起的作用决定的。大学英语教学的任务不只是培养学习者的语言技能 ,它的教育功能还应当体现在对学生的认知能力、文化素养、主体意识和情感等方面的培养。
