An Explanation of the Metaphorical Phenomenon from the Cognitive Perspective

比喻是汉语中极为常见的一种修辞现象 ,对喻体的选择有一定的要求 ,如相似性、民族性和熟悉性等 ,本文从认知的角度对这些问题加以解释 ;同时引入了“特征联想度”等概念 。

The metaphor is very common in Chinese. Generally speaking, the metaphorical entity, that is, the entity used as a metaphor,must have the features of similarity, nationality and so on. This paper attempts to explain all those phenomena from the cognitive perspective. Some notions such as the “degree of feature association” are introduced to explain why more than one metaphorical entity can be used consecutively and when the features of the metaphorical entity can be omitted.
