传统的的英语教学有很多弊病和缺陷，素质教育环境下，英语教学应实现从应试型教学向交际型教学方式的转型，其关键是语言能力的培养和口语水平的提高。

There have existed many disadvantages and shortcomings in the traditional English teaching. English teaching, in compliance with quality education, should be changed from examination - oriented teaching into communicative teaching, the most important purpose of which is to develop students' language competence and to improve their oral English.
