听是人类进行语言交际最初始、最基本的环节，因此，听力教学在英语教学中占有很重要的地位。由于英语是一种外来语，学生在英语听力训练中存在听力障碍、主要包括语言知识障碍、母语干扰障碍、文化背景知识障碍。教师在教学中应有针对性地进行训练，用科学的方法指导学生克服听力障碍，以提高听力水平，并有利于提高学生学习英语的自信心和学习兴趣，进而提高学生的整体英语运用能力。
