In developing high technology industries, the importance of venture capital has been recognized by the governments and people in technical and financial circles. While venture capital provides investment advantages, it also brings about great risks. Therefore, the key in the successful investment of venture capitals lies in the comprehensive understanding and effective control of the risks involved. This paper discusses the risks and their control in different phases of venture capital operations in China.
