Methods for testing the decrease of balance ability and balance function in old people, especially the application of these methods in the balance test of old people were consulted in literature written by experts concerned at home and abroad. The new research results on the decrease of balance ability of the aged were introduced. Various testing methods, from simple to complex, suitable for testing the balance ability of old people were expounded in detail. Thus, valuable references were provided for carrying out the study of the balance ability of old people, for studying ways to test their balance ability and for the applicators to use in their tests.
