The paper analyzes the cause of echo in telephone networks.It describes the principle of the line echo canceller,introduces two different implementations of the adaptive transversal echo canceller filter.The functionality of the LEC with the emphasis on the transversal filter adaptation,was tested and verified on Visual C++.
