谭纶与抗倭名将戚继光是统属关系 ,共同领导了浙东抗倭 ,又指挥戚继光、俞大猷平定了福建倭患。任蓟辽总督时 ,又支持领导戚继光训练士兵 ,巩固了边防 ,他与戚继光“共事齐名 ,称谭戚” ,堪称抗倭名帅。

The relationship between Tan Lun and Qi Ji-guang, a famons anti-Japanese general, was a subordinate one.They led the battles against the Japanese aggression together in the eastern areas of Zhejiang.Tan Lun led Qi Ji-guang and Yu Dayou to suppress the Japanese aggression in Fujian.As governor of JiLiao, Tan Lun led and supportecl Qi Ji-guang in training the soldiers, consolidating the frontier defence.He and Qi Ji-guang worked together and enjoyed equal popularity, called'Tan Qi'. He may be rated as a famous anti-Japanese marshal.
