Based on the application of 7000PISTA rotational flow grit chamber in the Pretreatment Works in Shanghai Sewerage Project (P.Ⅱ), description is given of the mechanism of grit sediment in this kind of chamber, including its design, application and further improvement when used in large sewage treatment works.\;
