p S2属于三叶草因子家族 ,正常表达于胃组织 ,异位表达于胃肠道炎症和大量癌组织中。其表达受多种因素调节。p S2的功能可能与细胞运动、粘液聚合反应、细胞增殖 /分化有关。p S2也可能是一种神经肽。在胃肠道中 ,参与肿瘤的发生和维持粘膜的完整性 ;在乳腺癌中 。

pS2 trefoil factor is normally expressed in the stomach,and is found ectopically in gastrointestinal inflammatory disorders and in various carcinomas.The expression is regulated by many factors.pS2 is a factor involved in cell motility,mucin polymerzation,cell proliferation and/or differentiation,and possibly in the nervous system.It is involved in stomach ontogenesis and in the maintenance of the integrity of the mucosa.In breast cancer,it can be used to select patients suitable for hormone therapy.
