摘要
赤峰东山嘴遗址属于夏家店下层早期。该遗址简报有目前这一文化唯一的遗址平面图。从图中我们可以看出两类灰坑：一种是距房址很近的规整的深坑；另一种是距房址较远的不规则浅坑。前者主要出土陶器与农具；后者多出与手工业相关的器物，其中骨针多为完好的。简报认为前者是窖穴，后者是垃圾坑。我们认为前者应为窖穴，但后者应是从事家庭手工业的场所，这里地穴式房址采光极差也可以印证这个推论。通过对另外十几个夏家店下层文化的遗址房屋出土物的分析也发现有农具集中和非农具集中的两类房屋。这种现象还有待更多的资料来证实和解释。
Dongshanzui Site of Chifeng City, belonging to the early stage of the Lower Xiajiadian Culture, is very important, for there is a resident site map published only in the cultule. The ash pits in the site can be divided into two kinds: deep, regular shape pits near the buildings, and shallow, irregular shape pits far from the building .There were pottery and farm tools mainly discovered in the former, no farm tools in the latter, especially bone needles completely. So the latter should be place for doing crafts. There is also the same classification of the contents of buildings from other dozen sites of the culture, which need more materials to be testified.
