摘要 90年代初 ,世界卫生组织提出廉价、不需要冷藏的疫苗要求之后 ,查尔斯J安特贞提出了食用疫苗的设想 .过去 1 0年间 ,科学家们对这一设想进行了许多研究 ,涉及的疫苗包括肝炎、痢疾、狂犬疫苗等 ,初步表明食用疫苗具有可行性 . In the early 1990s, Charles J. Artzen conceived of a way to produce edible vaccines by transgenic plant because of WHO calling for inexpensive, oral vaccines that needed no refrigeration. Scientists have done many researches to test the way. The vaccines researches included Hepatitis B virus, Cholera, Heat labile enterotoxin of Escherichia coli , Norwalk virus and Rabies. Preliminary results show edible vaccines are feasible. Children may get immunized by munching on foods instead of enduring shots in the future.
