必具性附加状语在英语句子结构中占有重要的地位 ,但是却往往为我们所忽视 ,因此值得研究。从三个方面探讨必具性附加状语发挥重要作用的原因 (即位置特征、句法特征和语义特征 )的同时 ,还就Lyons和Halliday的相关论述进行了尝试性的改进。

Obligatory adjunct, which has often been overlooked, plays a key role in English sentence structure. Therefore it merits our discussion. Its features are presented from three perspectives: position, syntactic and semantic. At the same time tentative improvement is made concerning Lyons and Halliday' s relevant argument.
