北京第二热电厂设备为C50－8.83／0.118型50 MW采暖调节抽汽式汽轮发电机组，由于燃料价格激增造成巨额亏损。为达到减少亏损的目标，将采暖调节抽汽式汽轮机改造成为B50-8.83／0.118采暖背压式汽轮机，转变成以供热为主供电为辅的经营方式，企业的经济效益明显好转。

Beijing No．2 Cogeneration Power Plant，with C50-8．83／0．118 type 50 MW steam extraction turbine-generator units installed，suffered from great deficit arising from the going up of fuel price in the recent years．With the aim of reducing the deficit，the steam extraction-district heating turbines were modified to back pressure-district heating turbines through retrofitting，with the operation mode converted to with district heating as principal，power supply as complement，thus the economic benefit of enterprise has taken an evident turn for better．
