Oriented to automatic testing, fault detecting and maintenance of aeronautic and astronautic airborne equipments, a universal automatic testing system based on VXI bus and virtual instrument is designed for one model of helicopter autopilot. The design requirements, the hardware structure, the software structure and the system characteristics are discussed in detail. At last, it's illustrated that the designed VXI bus testing platform is a universal automatic testing platform.
