A New Method for Water Meter Measurement Based on Image Processing

本文提出了一种基于图像处理技术的水表计量新方法。该方法的原理是通过图像处理技术检测水表转盘转动的角度和转数这两个参数。文中给出了当使用普通摄像头需考虑图像运动模糊的条件下 ,转盘转动的角度和转数的检测算法。该算法并不需要对图像进行运动模糊恢复。

A new method for water meter measurement based on image processing is proposed.The principle of the method is to measure the rotation angle and circles of the rotation dial of the water meter by image process- ing technology.The measurement algorithm is also described when the image is captured by the ordinary video camera and blurred by the rotation motion.The merit of the algorithm is that it is not necessary to recover the blurred image.The emulation experiment demonstrated the validness of the method.
