南京经济竞争力的提高，在经济全球化和中国加入世界贸易组织的特定条件下，需要从自身实际出发，发挥比较优势，着力推进和实施高新技术产业国际化的追赶战略，同时积极利用高新技术改造传统产业，实施传统产业现代化战略，进一步改善南京的开发开放环境。

Under the special conditions of economic globalization and China s entering the WFO, Nanjing must build its economic competitive power on its own reality, make full use of its advantages and push ahead with and carry out a catch - up strategy of the internationalization of new and high technologic industries. At the same time, Nanjing must take an active step to remould its own traditional industries with the help of new and high technology, carry out the strate-gy of modernization of the traditional industries, and further improve the development environment.
