In such circumstances, it is urgent to cultivate the comprehensive advantages of scientific research so as to turn production away from conventional methods and toward making use of technological means, and improve Nanjing' s economic quality. According to the international experience, it will be helpful to form the advantage of production, uni-versity and research institute, and to form sound cultural atmosphere of doing pioneering work and industrializing to co-ordinate the university scientific research, technological development and production as much as possible . Compared with other cities in China, Nanjing has already had first - rate conditions of scientific research. There has been very good ground for university city and industrial park. With the government's support and guidance, we can construct Nanjing' s science city including university park, science and technology park, industrial park and the park of doing pioneering -work ,and make it become a major high - tech base in China.
