The changes of urban spatial structure are reflected centrally by retail business, which is a mark by which to determine city's developing level. In the United States suburbanization and the rise of shopping mall is inherently connected. So long as most of Americans lives in suburbs, shopping mall will continue to exist and be prosperous. This pattern has great postitive impact on American social life, but meanwhile it has been strengthening segragations in neighborhood and widening the gap between the two social poles.
