On the Biography of Confucius's Disciples of the Central Plains Origin

大教育家孔子曾周游中原列国讲学十余年 ,使中州大地成为培育和弘扬儒家文明的重要场所。他在这里培养的弟子数量较多 ,素质较高 ,名列“七十二贤”的就达十七人。由于种种原因 ,他们的生平事迹史载或阙或漏 ,语焉不详。我们稽考文献 ,为这些孔门弟子立传 ,欲再现历史真实 。

Confucius, the great educationist, had given lectures around the kingdoms in the central plains for more than ten years. He had made the central plains the important place where the Confucian Civilization could be cultivated and expanded. Here he taught many better quality disciples, as far as seventeen to be his Seventy-two Sainted Disciples, Kinds of reason produces these seventeen Henan-born disciples' Life stories lacking and missing on the his historical records, and the description of them is not quite clear. Through the clues of The Historical Biographies by Si Ma-qian, this article verifies historical documents and tries to review the truthfulness of their life histories, and gives them a proper comments.
