摘要
西方戏剧借用亚洲戏剧美学的时候,常常显得不够正宗,亚洲舞台上对西方戏剧的诠释,也常常离原作很远。本文以立陶宛上演的莎士比亚《威尼斯商人》(2004)和日本上演的欧里庇得斯《美狄亚》(2004)为例,说明上述问题。作者认为,跨文化戏剧中对戏剧美学的扭曲和夸张在所难免,评论者需以开放心态对之。
Western theatre that uses production aesthetics of Asian theatre lacks authenticity,just as Asian stage productions of Western texts are far away from original texts.The dilemma is to be discussed in this article,with a Lithuanian production of Shakespeare s The Merchant of Venice(2004)and a Japanese production of Euripides s Media(2004)as examples for each case.The conclusion is that distortion and exaggeration of theatrical aesthetics and semantics in intercultural theatre are inevitable.This inevitabilit...
