Imagination of Western Drama Classics in Today's China

西方戏剧经典一直是中国戏剧展开其艺术想象的资源之一。它是一面镜子,从这里我们可以感受到中国社会的焦虑和中国戏剧的焦虑。本文试图通过梳理近年来中国戏剧舞台所上演的西方戏剧经典,发掘其内在的前提和依据,并对这种想象的历史和现实提出我的看法和解释,同时展望中国戏剧在下一个百年的进路。其中将涉及近年来比较有影响的西方戏剧经典在中国的演出以及中国戏剧对西方戏剧经典的复排和改编。

Chinese artists took inspirations from Western drama classics.It acts like a mirror,through where we see our anxiety of Chinese society and Chinese drama.This dissertation examines a selection of Chinese stage representations of Western classics.It attempts to study on the contexts of those stage adaptations.Meanwhile,I shall examine those historic illusions as well as the present situation,which in the final analysis consists in envisaging the future of Chinese drama in the next coming century.
