死刑制度是一项古老的刑罚制度,也是当今世界多数国家刑罚体系中的重要刑种,然而随着死刑制度的种种弊端的不断出现,人们开始逐渐要求废除死刑,因而对死刑产生发展历史、死刑废除的原因及死刑废除过程中的障碍进行必要的研究,对于推进世界废除死刑的运动和我国死刑的废除有着积极的意义。

As an important punishment in the penalty system of most countries in the world,death penalty originated from ancient times.However,nowadays people call for abolition of death penalty as a response to its growing drawbacks,efforts has been made in the researches into certain fields as how death penalty exited and developed,why it should be abolished and what may stand as an obstacle.All these researches significantly pave the way for the abolition of it.
