The research of energy saving method for wireless sensor networks based on data compression

摘要 针对能量效率问题,提出了预测编码精简算法.由于信源数据之间存在时间相关性,本算法对信源数据进行有效估计,去除信源数据之间的冗余信息,实现了信源数据的压缩.算法可以根据工程需要,设定预测阶数及编码结果的比特数,选取线性的量化方法,使算法实现简单.选取两个传感器节点为实验对象,分别下载原始程序和预测编码精简算法的程序,实验结果表明,虽然数据预处理及预测编码精简算法引入少量的空间和时间开销,但是在保证数据精度的前提下,预测编码精简算法达到了节省能量的目的. Aiming at energy saving problem,simplified prediction coding algorithm(SPCA) is introduced to compress the source data.As time dependence exists among the source data,redundant information can be deducted if the source data is effectively estimated.Prediction orders and the bit counts of the coding can be set freely to meet the engineering requirement,and linear quantization is introduced to simplify the realization of the algorithm.Two sensor nodes are selected and download original algorithm program and S...
