我国当代知名图书馆学者刘迅先生在图书馆学理论、图书馆学教育、图书馆事业、图书馆学未来、国外图书馆学研究等方面都取得了突出的成就。他积极进行图书馆学理论研究尤其是图书馆学理论基础研究,努力吸收国外先进的图书馆学思想和图书馆实践经验,为我国当代图书馆学研究和图书馆事业的发展做出了积极的贡献。
