摘要
文言章回体小说在清末民初突现出一种兴盛局面的原因是多方面的:既与当时的复古思潮相关,也同小说作者、读者群的改变紧密相联。文士参与到了小说的生产和阅读中,同时他们的写作也表明了对于自身看法的转变。文言章回体小说在民初以后渐趋衰歇,30年代有过"复兴文言"的声浪,却无法挽回文言小说的历史命运。尽管如此,这些小说毕竟为中国现代文学史的生成提供了最初的基础。
