'Master Yan s Family Admonition',as a masterpiece on family admonition in the period of South-ern and Northern Dynasties,is worth investigating for its literary theory and thought.This paper,based on the 'Article' section of the masterpiece,expounds and analyzes YAN Zhi-tui s literary theory and thought from four aspects: the literary view,the literary creation ideology,the literary essence view,and the view of literary criticism.
