In the new period some technical terms are generalized,which give birth to new meanings, and become the common words. generalization is the obvious reflection of selfadjustment in the Chinese lexical system. In analyzing the original connotation of semantic generalization ,the paper discusses the manner,characteristic and result of semantic generalization of technical terms.
