基于图书馆为政府决策提供信息支持实践的思考,得出结论:参考咨询馆员的情报意识作为职业的核心能力,是目前提升咨询服务层次的首要因素。在工作中,要注意"情报意识"的养成和转换思维模式。情报意识的养成可从5个方面入手:重苗头、关注"弱信息"、多侧面捕捉、作为一种职业精神、掌握方法和技巧。转换思维模式要从以下5个方面改进:区别一般专题咨询和情报产品的不同、提高敏感度、选择情报之要素、善于挖掘决策者的隐性需求、加大情报工作的密度。
