摘要
在英美文学课程教学中,到底是以史纲教学为重还是以文本教学为重,是一个长期以来富于争议的话题。在当前课时严重不足、学生阅读心态浮躁的条件下,笔者以为任课教师应当在课堂教学中把重点放到文学史纲的教学上,为学生提供文学文本的历史语境阐释,指引学生在课外自主进行文本解读和赏析。
It s been a longstanding controversy that in the teaching of British and American Litera-ture,which we shall focus,the history or the texts.In face of the unfavorable conditions that there is a shortage of class hours and students are impetuous to read,the author believes that teachers should focus on literature history,providing students with historical context interpretation,and guiding them to read consciously after class.
