On Dissemination of Hui Neng’s Zen from Guangdong to Overseas

惠能禅不仅在广东地区得到了迅速发展,而且传播及影响到了周边的国家和地区──越南、韩国和日本等。惠能禅为这些地区的人民所接受,并与当地的文化相融相会而形成了具有民族特色的禅宗新派别。19世纪,随着东西方文化的广泛交流,惠能禅还传到了北美和欧洲大陆,对西方文化产生了深刻的影响。

Hui Neng’s Zen,not only had a rapid developed in Guangdong area,but also spread and influ-enced peripheral national: vietnam,Korea,Japan and so on.Hui Neng’s Zen was accepted by people in these ar-eas,blended into local culture and formed a new Zen Buddhism with national characteristics culture.In the 19th Century,with broad commution of eastern and western culture,Hui Neng’s Zen was spread to Northern American and European continent,had a profound influence on western culture.
