摘要
本文以《水浒传》中108将的绰号为语料,分析绰号的构成方式和使用特点。我们发现,从绰号的语言构成方式来看,它们一般通过隐喻或转喻构成。隐喻构成的绰号其喻底以历史人物、动物、鬼神为主,但更多地结合了本体的特征,形成所谓的转隐喻,而转喻一般以职业、长相、使用工具等为依据,突出本体的显著特征。作者认为,绰号是一种对人物的重新命名。与姓名和事物名称相比,绰号所受限制较少,比姓名和事物名称更直接、具体地反映人物的性格和其他特点。绰号研究对语言哲学家关心的专有名词的意义问题具有重要的启发意义。
Based on an analysis of the nicknames of the 108 heroes in the Classic Chinese novel,Outlaws of the Marsh,this paper tries to provide a cognitive linguistic account of nicknames.The study reveals that almost all the nicknames of the 108 heroes are metaphors or metonymies.Most metaphor nicknames use historical figures,animals(particularly tigers and snakes)and spirits and ghosts as the vehicles and combine with some basic characteristic of the persons to form metonymetaphors.And the metonymy-based nicknames ...
